The Fancy Mullet

This is one of our own creations. (Someone may have done it somewhere else but we haven't seen it anywhere.)

I separated the hair into four sections. Twisted the top two and combined them into a ponytail and flipped under. Then did the same with the bottom two sections. It kind of looks like a fancy mullet but it's still cute. I ended up putting a bow in the top pony. With a little hairspray, it stayed all day and through the night.

Oldie but goodie

We did an oldie but goodie today. Twisting braids that tie back into a ponytail. Put into a messy bun with a pink bow on top. Hopefully it holds today. I have a feeling M is going to be very energetic.

Church 'do

I did three twist braids and tied them into knots. Secured the ends so they looked like buns, then added hair bows alternating sides. It turned out really cute.

The Lion's Mane

We call this one the "lion's mane" because it's huge! We took out yesterday's braids after leaving them in overnight and this was the result. It turned into the cutest curls; I couldn't bare to tie them back.

I just did three twisted braids to get the hair out of her face. Very simple.

Another swimming 'do

For some reason these pictures didn't turn out very well but, oh well. This 'do came about by semi-taking down the "Pictures Hair #2". I took out the 3 buns and made them into twisted piggies.

Twists, twists, and more twists

I found this one on a hair blog I follow and decided to try it. It didn't turn out very well because she has too many fly-aways and the twists don't lay smooth (unless I slick them down with gel).

M dressed me up. And C, I guess, felt like he needed to make an appearance in our picture. Funny boy!

Our hair adventures so far

I've decided to document all of the hairstyles we try. Here is what we have created so far (in no particular order). Some are originals, others come from the websites that can be found on the side bar.

I also make some of her flowers and hair bows. In the future, I might post some pictures of those, too.

Triple ponies with messy buns. This is the very first one we did. I loved her bangs! But she has since decided to grow them out.

A fancy church 'do with a flower. It's one of my favorites.

This one is fun. We've done another variation that has LOTS of little puffy braids.

This one is called the "Easter Basket". We did it for Easter, of course:)

We do this one alot. It is nice for windy days.

This is a "puffy braid headband". It was great for keeping the hair out of her eyes.

C wanted his hair done, too. So here's the "spike".

This is another one great for windy days. They are called "twists" or "corkscrews", depending on who you talk to.
