Primary Program 'Do

This 'do was so elegant. We loved it! First I sectioned off a large circle in the middle of her head and put in a ponytail. Then did princess twists down each side, bringing them together in a ponytail at the bottom.
For the middle pony, I sectioned off a couple of small pieces and twisted them. With the remaining hair, I rolled them into giant curls and cross-pinned them (making an "X" with your bobby pins) into a bun.
Lastly, I weaved the twisted pieces throughout the bun. It adds a little something extra.
HERE is where I got the start for my idea.

Another church 'do

This one is so pretty (and simple). I loved it. Instructions and credits are HERE.

All laced up

Today is an original (sort of). I have seen this upward weaving on a couple of sites and added my own twist. I sectioned off a top piece from ear to ear and tied it off to use later.
Then I laced up from the bottom (I did 3 rows). Then left it in pigtails.

Then I took the top section and separated it into 4 pieces. I crossed the two middle pieces and added them to the ponytail (don't attach it yet, just hold it). Then take remaining side pieces and add them in. I know it sounds confusing. I hope this picture gives you a better idea of what I did.
This picture gives you and idea of how I added in the top sections.

It looks complicated but it actually only took about 10 minutes and was pretty easy. I love it because it keeps M's hair out of her face.

Sunday Twists

Today we did "princess twists" as M calls them. They are so easy! I can't believe I haven't tried them before. And they looks so pretty. For instructions and credits, click HERE.

Two New Styles

This first one was fun! From the front it looks like a side pony tail. But the back has alot of detail. At least it SEEMS to. It's really quick and easy. For credits and instructions, click HERE.

This second one was also really easy. It's a crown of puffy braids combined into a big ponytail. For credits, click HERE.

Flips and a Sunday Bun

The flips are really easy. For instructions and credits, go HERE. I did three on each side then made a ponytail in the back. The easiest way for me was to divide the hair into three sections first. The two sides are for the flips and then the center piece is the main part of the ponytail.

I love this bun! It is so easy and looks so nice and sleek. Here's the trick (if you don't already know). You take a child sock. I did a tan one that C had grew out of because E's hair is brown. You cut of the toe of the sock and roll it up so it looks like a doughnut. You put the hair in a ponytail and slide the sock over it. Have her tip her head down so the hair falls all around the sock. Then wrap a hair elastic around the sock and voila! A perfect bun! I usually need to wrap the remaining ends around the bun and secure them with bobby pins. Or you could curl them and loosely pin them around, depending on how fancy you want it.

You can do all kinds of things with this bun. This hairstyle is one we do alot. You do small ponytails around the head. Separate them and combine two pieces into a twist. Then pull it all up into a ponytail.

Bantu/Zulu Knots

We tried these bantu knots (M called it "crazy hair") and it was actually pretty easy to do. We put them in wet hair, then she slept on them and we took them out the next morning.

Next time I want to get them a little tighter and less loose hair flying around.

They made really nice curls though when we took them out.

Twisting and Weaving

I saw this one on the 'princess and her hair' blog and wanted to try it. It turned out okay. Not as smooth as I would like, but cute none the less.

I left some hair in the front to make a headband effect and brought them down the sides and tied them back with the ponies.

Front view

P.S While we were out, we got alot of compliments on this hair do. Everyone thought it was so fancy and cute.
